Marcus J. Mikl is a Financial Analyst at Republic Urban Properties. His responsibilities include due diligence and financial underwriting for acquisitions as well as asset management for stabilized properties and projects under construction.
Prior to joining Republic, Marcus worked in public accounting, construction, and property management. He has provided financial statements, internal control and tax support to individuals and businesses with annual revenues between $10 million and $150 million that are focused in real estate, construction, hospitality, non-profit and many other diverse industries. Marcus has worked in single-family construction as a carpenter working alongside key sub-contractors and trades. He has multifamily property management experience from his time with Essex Property Trust where he handled operational responsibilities for marketing, leasing, move-ins, move-outs, turnover and maintenance for properties in Essex’s South Bay Area portfolio region. Marcus leverages a wide array of valuable first-hand experience to advise on all development activity.
Marcus graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and is an active Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the California Society of CPAs. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to new places.
